Known as the "Coca-Cola Route," the Marangu Route is one of the most popular and straightforward trails to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. It’s the only route that offers hut accommodations, making it a preferred choice for climbers seeking a less rugged trekking experience. Starting from the southeastern side of the mountain, this 5 to 6-day trek passes through diverse landscapes, including lush rainforest, moorland, and alpine desert. While considered one of the easier routes, the shorter duration means less time for acclimatization, making it essential for climbers to be physically prepared.

The Marangu Route is the only Kilimanjaro trail offering permanent hut accommodations instead of tents, providing a more comfortable experience for trekkers. Despite its reputation as the “easiest” route, its shorter acclimatization period can be challenging for some climbers.
